My car broke down last week and I was helped by a call handler then a RAC man called Simon in the North East area. He attended the job within about 25mins and helped me safely home. The news was not good for my little Punto, yet he was considerate and kind in the delivery of this information.
I rang the RAC this morning as I needed to cancel the cover on account of the replacement vehicle coming with a year's free roadside assistance and I thought I would offer my feedback. I wanted to send my gratitude to Simon. The gentleman on the phone was not in the right department. When I mentioned I wanted to leave positive feedback, he very helpfully offered to transfer me. I waited on hold for what seemed like forever, then the music stopped and I got a dreadful noise in my ear, like distortion on a speaker. I could only hang up.
Not put off, I thought I'd come on line to see if I could pass on my thanks this way or find a customer services number. I found the forum. I then had to register and make a profile and have it validated before I could post on the forum. I'm not even sure if RAC staff read this or if it is just for customers? Ideally whoever manages Simon ought to know what a great job he did, and acknowledge his work in some way. Fabulous roadside service, though it ought to be easier to be able to say thank you and leave positive feedback!
