Renault scenic (x) reg engine fule pump

Hi wonder if anyone can help I got a rac to recover my car and when they checked the car they said the fule pump had gone...so i borough one and my mechanic fitted it two days ago but still can't find out why it won't start....he said he checked the fule lines and injectors are all ok but still won't start

Can anyone help (note...its the fule pump on the engine) this car doesn't have one in the tank
