Car went in for mot approx. 3 wks ago, failed on emissions test. Check warning light had been constantly illuminated for few months prior to the mot. When checked, got error code stating the problem was the o2 sensor. Had this replaced after the mot failure, had retest,and it passed. The check warning light is again illuminated,doesnt go off at all. Any idea what is causing this please. Its driving me nuts.
My car is a Hyundai Getz sport, 1.6 04 reg. Petrol,manual transmission
The failed emissions test results were
FAST IDLE TEST Co MAX LIMIT 0.200 ACTUAL 0.327
2ND FAST IDLE TEST CO MAX LIMIT 0.200 ACTUAL 0.335
MOT RETEST RESULTS, AFTER NEW O2 SENSOR FITTED WERE
FAST IDLE TEST Co MAX 0.200 ACTUAL 0.138
2ND FAST IDLE TEST NOT DONE.
Each time, the failed test,and the pass test, the car got a pass each time on
rpm hc
Oil temp on the mot was 95
Any help would be much appreciated
