should I report a possible collission

Hi
This afternoon I had to take evasive action to avoid an oncoming vehicle and served to the nearside and heard the sound that I may have clipped a wing mirror due to parked traffic I could notpark for 300 yds (no damage but my wing mirror had moved )
By the time I had got to the scene there was no sign of damage to any vehicles or sign of glass on the road
Should I report it to the police
