front / rear view camera mix up

Hi, newby here.

I use a rear view camera, and because of obstructions in my drive I need a front view camera for parking.

I ordered a Chinese one that said it was "Front" view but it shows a Mirror image of what is in front of the car, thus the left side of the drive shows on the right & vice versa making it impossible to avoid obstacles. It is in effect a rear view one facing forward.

The adverts of all the various makes of cameras calls it "universal" & are as shown in the attached foto. One bit of the add says FRONT the other rear, side etc.

I do hope the foto will show up.

The camera instructions are almost nill.

Am I missing something on the installation that would make it real front view?
