I have just purchased a 2014 focus 1.6TDCI. I have noticed that when changing car will speed up, mainly when turning corners but will also do it on a straight when slowing down in traffic, which is actually quite scary. my partner will not drive anymore as she doesn't like it. I like the car but this is becoming a little frustrating. I have been back to ford twice but they say there is nothing wrong. anyone know if this is a known issue or is it just me? it's almost like there is no engine breaking, or the car will start to slow down then just pick up again, in 3rd when it will slow to 15mph then just pick up again same in 2nd, I know it happens in 4th as well but not noticed the speed.. I was in a garden centre the other day, the car park has a hill not a big hill but enough to make a car stop if you don't use the accelerator, however in 2nd gear the car just accelerated across the car park and up the hill no problem, all on it's own?? http://www.rac.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/confused.png
