Hi all,
While driving my wife's 2003 reg, Opel Zafira Comfort,(1.6 petrol with 102,000 miles on the clock) on Sunday last I noticed that after about 10 minutes of driving that no longer hot air was coming out of the vents. This turned out to be caused by a lack of coolant due to a busted water pump.
The new water pump and timing belt kit are ordered and will be delivered in the morning and will be fitted tomorrow (weather permitting) but I am not sure what positions the timing marks on the cams and the crankshaft should be in so I can fit the belt and pump correctly. I have been told that the cam marks should be at 3 o'clock (left cam) and 9 o'clock (right cam) and that the crankshaft mark should be at 5 0'clock (looking into the engine bay from the drivers side). Does this sound right?
I have tried to get a photo or diagram of the timing marks in the correct position but google failed on this occasion. Can anyone tell me where I can find a diagram or photo of the timing marks?
Thanks in advance
Yours
