4 hours, lots of phone calls and an extremely long wait to get my Vespa recovered back to my property - 4 miles away.
Called in the breakdown at 6.45pm will be 11.30pm at the earliest by the time I get home.
Single lady waiting on my own on a bike, thank goodness I was able to push my bike back to the office and wait inside. Not that it seems it would have made any difference to the times of being recovered if I had have been stranded on a quiet road somewhere!!
Seems like the RAC need to get some new suppliers to provide better recovery services to their customers as high volumes of calls and bad traffic doesn't cut the mustard as excuses after 9.00pm in the evening!!
It took an hour for the RAC call centre to speak to the RAC dispatch centre for an update and 3 phone calls from myself. Each time being told someone would call me back but only the 3rd agent I spoke to actually doing so. After another 20 minute phone call and demanding to speak to a supervisor I was finally told that there is no possibility of an earlier recovery time. After pushing this further and displaying my displeasure was offered to be reimbursed for a taxi home and back to my bike once the recovery people were on their way - really useful at 9.15pm. Why wasn't that offered earlier!!!!
All in all extremely disappointing and frustrating
