Exhaust gas warning lamp saga

In June I purchased a 2006 1.2 polo with 76000 miles on it. In less than a month driving the exhaust gas warning lamp lit up. It stayed lit for several days so I went to a garage to diagnose the problem. It came up as a lambda sensor failure. However after that they redlined the revs they found that blue smoke was coming out the exhaust.

I then had the valve stem seals changed and didn't have to pay much due to warranty.

I had the car back for 2 months then driving home the other day the warning light lit up again, a couple of days after the oil warning light came on. I haven't checked the oil level, I will do that tomorrow.

On a side note the car is driving smoothly.

I'm a new driver and don't know what to do. Help would be appreciated, thanks.
