Hi All, I have a 2010 308 sport 1.6 petrol with a warrented 38,000 which is using quite a lot of oil, it must be a recent thing because ive done 5000ish miles in it, when one time i started the engine it said check oil level, as i was one my way to my night shift i thought it must be a duff sensor during my lunch break at 02.30 i checked the oil, i know it was dark but i couldnt see anything on the dipstick, so when work ended i popped over to the local sainsburys and bought 1ltr of oil, yes it was fully synthetic, put that in and drove home, later in the day i rechecked the level and it was about 3/4 on the dipstick, no oil is dripping on to my drive, it doesnt smoke when i first start it, has anyone else had this, its going to be cheaper to keep checking and topping up than get the engine repaired
if it is burning this oil at this rate, will it fail the next MOT in june
i dont really want to get rid of it, its great apart from this issue
