Whilst towing our caravan in the nearside lane along the A30, eastwards in Devon, on a dual carriageway with two lanes, a car (A)overtook me then swerved in front of me to pass the car (B) ahead of him in the outer lane, and then swerved back to (a) avoid the car ahead of me, and (b) to cut in between a tight space between car (B) and the car in front of that. The cars were then so close that car (B) made a defensive swerve and, at the same time, car (A) jerked left to partially rectify his cutting-in action. For a split second it looked as though a collision was inevitable.
The next day, after an overnight stay in Somerset, whilst continuing my journey along the M5, M42, M6 and M69, I saw several such lane-switching and undertaking performances to avoid reducing speed due to slower cars ahead; thankfully not with the vehicle-to-vehicle closeness of the first occurrence. Mad!!!
