Hi All.
Some advice please on who is at fault.
I was in Tesco parking lot and was facing bonnet into my parking bay. In the bay behind me, on the opposite side of the driving lane, was a vehicle facing bonnet out towards the lane.
I started to reverse at what must have been the same time as he started to move out forwards. We collided.
I understand that as a rule the reversing vehicle is 100% at fault when moving into the lane of on coming traffic, however this person was pulling out with a clear front view of me reversing and continued until we collided. I do not believe that these circumstances constitute the reversing party's fault.
Can anyone with experience of this type of matter assist with some advice?
Many thanks.
