The battery on my 2005 1.6 Grand scenic has just failed totally, & gone open circuit. I have tried fitting another battery, but as soon as I connect one of the earth wires, something in the engine bay starts whistling, or whining, but I can't identify what it is. Anyone got any good suggestions?
