I have a Hyundai Tucson which I bought last year, the vehicle had new discs and pads fitted all round when I bought it... Now, sometimes, usually once or twice a day (pretty much at random) when I press the brake pedal the brakes feel very bumpy, kind of like I am braking on a rough road or sort of like the ABS has come on. As I say, it's not every time I brake, I cant really pin down exactly what I do to make it happen but I wonder if anybody has any idea what the cause is? I had the car serviced by a local mechanic, who I trust, I mentioned to him before hand and he said it would be rust on the discs at start-up in the morning, anyway, it was serviced and passed the MOT fine so I don't know if its anything to worry about? The mechanic never mentioned it when I picked the car up so he either never had it happen when he tested the brakes, or it's OK.... On other forums the cause seems to be warped rotors but surely it would do it every time I braked if this was the case? It really is only once or twice per driving session and defiantly not each time I brake.
