I bought a semi automatic Peugeot 3008 (60 plate) in Sept 13.
Within weeks of the purchase, all the emergency lights kept coming on in the car when starting it up e.g. ABS, gearbox, hand-break systems failure. The car drove fine at that stage, however it was taken back to Evans Halshaw who had it for 3 days and said that it was repaired. Since Feb, the car has broken down 11 times with the same set of warning lights coming on every time, but the problem has got progressively worse with the following:
Car won't drive, get's stuck in first gear
All systems shut down so car won't move and has to be towed to the garage
Car won't start
The car has had 11 diagnostic tests in the last 7 weeks which show up multiple systems failures which are then cleared, but within days (and sometimes hours) the lights go back on again and the car will then break down.
Evans Halshaw have been terrible and told me that they have never heard of this problem before. They have had it in their garage for 17 days out of the last 20 and still don't know what the problem is, but telling me that it could cost up to £1,500 to fix.
Help?
