RAC Warranty question

A couple of questions - bought a car from a dealer in March and decided to take out warranty for piece of mind, mainly as my previous car ended up getting scrapped as i could not afford the massive repairs.

2 months on, ONLY on tickover (warm or cold) it's a little lumpy - not a misfire - but friends tell me it could be anything from a glow plug (obviously its a diesel) to a turbo problem or injectors or even just poor quality fuel.

I checked the RAC Gold warranty just in case and its a bit confusing as the turbo is covered but it doesn't list glow plugs although it lists injectors and of course it could be that.
Also as i bought the car 150 miles from where i now live I would have to contact RAC and ask them for an approved garage.

The dealer stamp shows he did a service before we picked the car up so at least that part is ok.

The Rac Warranty booklet gives you advice on what to do on breakdown it gives a 0800 number and asks you to quote a scheme code on the U300 form - Have only got a dealer print out and all there is on that is an agreement number is that the one to quote ?

I never received an RAC breakdown card - should i have got one?

Getting back to the problem, I guess the procedure logically would be to call the administrators when there open and ask them, my wife has just bought a brand new car and her warranty is VERY clear so following her's it would be contact RAC, take to approved garage, tell the approved garage you are covered by warranty, let them diagnose the problem and ask them to contact RAC before going ahead with repair -------- The RAC warranty is not very clear but does that sound right? and if so do RAC pay the garage or do i pay them and then claim back?

Sorry for long thread
