Fitting inner tie rod

Hi
I have a new relacement inner tie rod to be fitted to my megane.
The old part has ha locking ring fitted, whereby the new part has came supplied without locking ring.
Should all be well if I use thread lock and correctly torque the new knuckle onto the rack, bearing in mind there will be no lock ring?
I notice on the web there are many of these parts available also with no lock ring supplied.
