help needed citroen relay hdi wont start

hi i just fitted a new hp fuel pump and timing belt to a relay 2.0 hdi , when i put it back together it started first turn of the key, after running for a while i turned it off and tried to restart , it turned over but did not fire, i stripped it back down and checked timing it was still ok
i have checked that diesel is reaching the injectors,if i spray a blast of easy start in the air intake it will fire but does not run ,any suggestions please
