Hello, my first post on here and I hope people dont mind me jumping straight in as I'm pulling my hair out!
My last car has failed it's MOT and is not worth repairing. I'm trying to decide on a choice of automatic car that's economical but keep getting conflicting reviews.
I'm looking for something that is economical as possible to run without looking like a box. and that isn't a smart car. I do about 25 motorway miles and 10 miles through town / country roads a day but will occasionally do some longer motorway trips. So far I've come up with:
Ibiza 1.2 TSI sport, 60 plate with 40k.
Auris 1.4 D-4D TR, 08 plate with 38k.
VW Polo 1.4 SE 2011, 45k
I'm also thinking of a Hyundai I30, Prius T5 or similar hybrid but really don't know. I've heard the Seat Leon 1.6 is good but the nearest one to me I can find is over 100 miles drive away!
I've a max budget of £8k and have an automatic licence (disability that means I can't take a test for a manual!).
Can anyone comment on the above choices or suggest an alternative?
