Hands Free Mobile Phones

I took the wife shopping yesterday, as I wanted to buy something from a shop near where we usually do our late-night shopping. After I had finished what I wanted to do, I wandered back to the store, and sat on one of their thoughtfully provided benches to wait for her. (Too hot to sit in the car.) I must have sat there for about an hour, just watching people with hands free mobile phones wandering in and out of the store, talking away. The reason I began to watch for them was because after I had sat there for a couple of minutes, one of them walked straight into the end of the bench I was sitting on. Then another one did, and I reckon I saw at least twenty people walk into static 'furniture' outside the store, including trolley parks, kid's rides, the ATMs and the railings. Most of them were heading to the car park, and I can only say that if this is how they behave as pedestrians using hands free kits, what chance behind the wheel?
