Good morning all,
I'm looking for some advice on an error code I have. The vehicle in question is a 54 plate, 2005 Audi 8p A3 1.9 TDI.
I had been using the car all day, left it parked for a while and upon starting up had a yellow engine/emmission light on the instrument panel. The car drove and still is fine, no issues to be honest. I had the car plugged into a OBD reader and it came up with the following codes P2100 and P2102.
I did have a look into things and firstly checked the fuse which is known to blow - this is fine. I also checked the throttle body, I only pulled part of the piping off so I could see only one side of it, so couldnt see the EGR. Anyway straight away I noticed it was full of gunk and had a small amount of oil sitting. I gave it a good clean with carb cleaner. My question is, the throttle body/flaps where open (engine off) - should they be closed? and would this point to the problem I may have?
Any help would appreciated. On the way to get the OBD reading the spring snapped! - typical
Thanks
