Right of way

I dropped my daughters off at school this morning, on the way out there were parked cars on my side of the road, I pulled out to pass these as there were no other cars coming in the opposite direction towards me.
As I was passing the parked cars, one of the mum turned in from a junction and came towards me in the other direction, I had to stop as she was to pass me, as she tried to pass me I had to pull to the side, as I did I scuffed one of the parked cars, she continued to drive on.
I got out of the car and approached one of the builders who's car it was as there is work going on near by, he looked at his van and said it was OK and not to worry.
I was doing less then 10mph as some of the mums use the pavement.

I turned around and approached the mum and explained what had just happened, she went off on one saying I was going to fast and that she had the right of way, I explained that I was already committed as I was about three quarters pass the parked car, and there was no where for me to stop or go, and that she had continued to drive on after I had hit one of the parked cars, but she wasn't having any of it

Where do I stand with this ?
if I was in the right, what should I do next, and if so, is there a section in the highway code that lists this, what section,
Many Thanks for any replies

the car on the rights wasnt there.

I have marked where I was before she turned into the junction, and made me stop where I scuffed the van as she tried to pus passed me.
So when I started passing the cars she wasnt any where near the junction never mind turning into it, the road was clear for me
