Driving over a speed bump and heard loud bang - scrapping noise continued as I drove down the road. Driver side tyre was completely slashed and garage informed me that spring/coil had snapped and also took the tyre with it.
Just picked up the car from the garage and they now inform me that spring and tyre has been replaced at £99 however a banging/klanging noise can still be heard when driving over bumps. They have informed that its still safe to drive just probably needs new shock absorbers and also mentioned something about a rod?
Is this plausible and is it actually safe to drive until I can book in again to get this fixed?
Could this me something more serious and costly than they are making out?
