I have taken my Renault Megane 54 plate 1.4 to a garage as it was idelling high - around 3000 revs. I was informed that I needed a new Throttle Body. The garage provided a price and replaced this part. They are now saying this has not fixed it completely - now idles at 1100 to 1200. They are saying that if they remove a 2 pin resister which is attached to the alternator then the engine runs perfect. They are suggesting to leave this 2 pin resister (I think that's what they said) off the car will be fine and have no other effect on the car - is this correct?? What does the 2 pin resister do???
Please help - unsure what to do.
