Hi. Looking for some advice with my 57 Plate Astravan 6spd Sportive.
A replacement alternator and battery was fitted to rectify a charging issue ( Bus voltage at 12.8-13.1V only after revn Throttle) the Sys Voltage seems to now run at 13.7-14.0 with any load or engine Revs. Van ran with no faults for a number of long drives over 2-3 days...until everything just quits randomly presenting no dash fault indicators other than obvious Batt/abs etc. It fails to start for 5-10 mins
,4/5 attempts with 12.0-12.5V Batt Voltage. Starter motor turns over well but zero firing. It will run after a period sometimes for only a few mins, sometimes 20-30 mins! Am I looking at ECU damage from previous charging issue? Ive read up on it possibly being a fuel pmp issue but it seems more likely to be an electrical issue after its historical Alternator defect. OBD reader reveals nothing which may say fule pmp? Any advice greatly appreciated.
