I was sat in the traffic second car back from the traffic lights when they were on red. I was approximately 3/4 of a car length away from the car in front.
A police van came driving up with its sirens going and positioned its self at the side of the car in front of me as it wanted to get passed as this was the only place it could pass.
The young driver could of moved forward to make space but instead came backwards quite fast (looked to be panicking) and hit the front of my sports car mounting the front bumper (the road has a slight decline)
My Question is, Is it illegal to reverse on a main road? Also When it is clear to move forward?
I cant seem to find an answer on google does anyone know or has seen this answer on the internet?
