I was pulling up to a junction today and i put the car into neutral as i do (i tend to coast which is bad i know!) ....
As i put it into neutral it felt strange, i immediately noticed that the gear stick was moving all over the place and would go in all directions without the use of the clutch and with no response in terms of the gears, it just stayed in neutral.
After waiting for the RAC to come out today the very helpful man told me in was the clutch linkage and he showed me where it was. After a few seconds he made a temporary fix, and drove 12 miles down the road with me home to make sure it got me home safely.
He told me I would need to get it into a garage ASAP to get a more permanent fix... Does anyone know what it would cost to have this fully repaired? The last thing i want to do is get ripped off!!
