I wonder if anyone on the forum can help ?
I have a 2005 2.2 TDCI Mondeo Ghia X, which I've owned for 13 years and maintained regardless of cost.
At 120K miles, I noticed my oil level well above the maximum and took it to the trusted mechanic who's maintained it since I've owned it, he had it diagnosed as an over fueling issue on the number 3 injector, a common fault with cars of this type and mileage I was told.
I had a brand new set of Delphi injectors, of the identical code fitted and without any recode, the car ran smoother and performed better than it had ever done.
All's been fine until I noticed the same problem of diesel in the engine oil, bringing the level up, at approximately 135K miles.
I've been changing the oil and filter every 2500 miles, to prevent the contamination and the car doesn't cover many miles per year, but it's a worry.
The car runs faultlessly, apart from this issue,
Can anyone help me resolve this .
