My car has been damaged on the parking and insurer doesn't want to cooperate

I parked my car (insured in England) on the street and during my absence someone hit and ran. I made a claim, insurer says car is write off, category N (non structural damage), but now they don't want to carry on the process because I have two driving licenses, UK provisional and full EU driving license. When I bought my policy I provided information only about my EU driving license, and now they ask me "why do you have provisional UK driving license as well? and when was it issued?".

Why do they ask me about issue date of provisional UK driving license? Did I do something wrong?
The Police told me its not illegal to have two driving licenses. But I don't know if I can answer this question.
Can they make me guilty when they find out I had two driving licenses when I bought policy and I didn't mention about provisional?

I know premium will increase for me because of this claim, but the car is really cheap (£1,5k) and I don't want to have troubles.
Can I just abort this claim to avoid troubles? I can fix it myself and forget about this situation. Is it good way to solve this issue?
