Hey everyone,
I'm new here and I am in need of some assistance.
I recently swapped my Ford Mondeo 1.6 TDI (62 plate) Manual for a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDI (12) Automatic, with Stoneacre. Basically, I fell in love with Automatic cars when I first visited America (I visit every 4 months to see my partner) and I have always wanted one since, here in UK.
I am having issues with my Automatic car.
It first started when it was shifting from second to third gear. I was doing 30mph then suddenly the gear must have dropped to second as the revs jumped up to over 4000. It soon sorted itself out.
This happened four times, but it's getting worse now.
I just drove it through town. And every single time I took off from a traffic light, the gears were shifting up and down erratically, as the revs were all over the place. High revs, low revs, high revs, for a good few seconds before it sorted itself out. The car was jolting constantly. This happened 4 times in a row just now.
This erratic shifting happened on a flat road.
It's only getting worse, and I only got the car on Wednesday.
I know it's not my driving technique, as I have never come across this issue in the many automatic cars i've driven for many miles over in America (I visit my partner every 4 months).
Can anyone please help me?
Thanks for your time,
C
