Started my policy on the 4th October 2017 and I am now two days away from having my policy terminated, or the price in the insurance rising. The Black Box installation team has been absolutely appalling in communicating with me. I wasn't contacted within the 48 hours I was told, so I had to contact them instead. I was then told by this installation team, after 30minutes or so of waiting on hold that the team would come on Sunday (15th October) between 12PM-4PM. I was called later on to say that the team got that wrong and they would be here on Monday (16th October) between 10am - 2pm due to the hurricane in the U.K. The team did not arrive, and I was not informed of another time. One of the staff members on the RAC call-line told me that this team should have notified me of a new appointment. This same call line staff member also informed me that my policy could be cancelled, or restarted with the possibility of a higher premium. That was the final straw.
I'm not paying more money for a team who I am unable to reach due to a horrible call-line loop which results in getting nowhere, and staying on a phone for 30 minutes costing me tons of money to keep the call going. I have done all I can in reaching this installation team and because of their mistakes I am now paying the price, literally. The 14 day period ends on the 18th and I face a risk of paying extra money which I don't intend on paying. I have no problem with having the black box installed, or paying monthly payments, but I will not pay extra for something which is not my fault.
All I want is to have the black box installed and continue to pay the rest of my installments for the year. Maybe I am just overreacting, but money is something which I don't like to be played around with.
