Ford - Focus Zetec Automatic - 1.6 Petrol - 2002
Hey hopefully someone can shed some light on this, I have an 02 plate focus 1.6 auto that keeps stalling or losing power, it doesn't happen all the time and there doesn't seem to be recurring point while driving when this happens. When the car loses power it drives fine then suddenly it feels heavy and the revs drop and car starts slowing, only lasts about 10-15 seconds then its seems to catch up with itself and speeds off. When it is about to stall it does the same thing as before but then the battery light will come on for about 5-10 seconds then car seems to seize up and all dash-lights come on and it stalls. Car will restart immediately after. I have recently had timing and aux belt, fuel and oil filters spark plugs, exhaust and lambda sensor changed, also when driving in bad wet weather the engine light will come on with something o2 sensor related but clears when wipe code, not sure if this is just water getting into the sensor! I had it in for a diagnostic check yesterday and they came back with nothing.
