My wife entered a large Bedfordshire retail car park that did not have signs indicating at the entrance the flow direction of traffic flow. There were two painted arrows on the ground but completely worn out from years of traffic. As she travelled through the car park driving in the wrong direction an old man backed his car straight into the side of our car and caused 6,000 pounds in damage. When the old man shocked at the impact jumped out of his car he said sorry I did not see you my big dog was in the way in the back of my car I could not see you. After 15 minutes had passed he noticed my wife was driving in the wrong direction and started to blame her for the accident. Who was to blame in reality for this off highway accident was the fault the guy who did not look or my wife going in the wrong direction in a car park with poor direction indication? How would most insurance companies or the police view this situation?
