Hi
I sometimes panic when I arrive at roundabouts with multiple exits and 2 lanes, i go by the prinicple of lane 1 for 1st exit or straight (left lane if two lanes on that exit) and the 2nd lane for 3rd or 4th exit. My issue is lanes that merge on the roundabout. For example the last big roundabout to get into Newark centre (from Mansfield), there are two lanes on the apporach, lane 1 is A47 Lincs/A616 Ollerton and lane 2 says A47 Leic/B6236 Newark, then when on the roundabout after the 1st exit the B6236 turns into two lanes, left lane for b6236 newark and the second becomes A46 Leic
Am I correct in thinking that as i want the 3rd exit I should be in the second lane (marked A47 Leic/B6236 Newark) and then after the second exit I should keep to the left so that I would then be in the new 1st lane that emerges. I always worry that someone is still going to be in the lane to my left so I end up colliding with them which could happen if they believe lane one is for the 3rd exit.
