I had a flat battery call out tonight Jump started and went on my way after refusing the £122 replacement battery.
What I have found disturbing and quite shocked at is the fact that even as a paid up member I will be charged a call out fee for any further battery call outs. £85.
What am I paying my membership fees for if there are extra charges, not made clear when you sign up and potentially buried in the T&C, just because I refused the replacement battery.
It's a little on the blackmail side. i could understand if I exceeded the average call out rate of 5-7 a year but I haven't used them for over a year.
yes I know the standard line - It's in the T&C - but this kind of schedule of fees should be clear in plain english when you sign up, similar to the way credit card companies now have to clearly display their key data.
