Hi All,
Hope you're well.
I got stopped by the two policemen over 8 weeks ago for doing a 47 in a 30 area. They used one of those hand-held speed guns and gave me a verbal notice of intended prosecution (verbal NIP). Now this is where it differs to most cases on the internet.
They told me I would get a letter through the post, with either:
1. Speed awareness course
2. 3 points + £100
3. Court summons (but he said that's highly unlikely).
They didn't give me anything written but asked me to sign on a mobile device (a bit like those devices courier services ask you to sign on when you collect a parcel).
I have received nothing through the post yet. I know there is a 14-day rule for NIP through speeding cameras but as they have already issued a verbal NIP, am I still liable to receive anything through the post?
Any information would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Taylor
