There was something about this on The One Show tonight and my son pointed out that all of us (including the Police) who drive on single track roads would break this even when a cyclist pulls into a passing place! Our single tracks are just under 3m wide on average so go figure! I'm always wary round cyclists, having been clobbered by cars travelling too close twice in the days I cycled. No problems on the twin track but have frequently ground up the big climb on the Salen - Tobermory road in first gear for 20 minutes well behind wobbling cyclists who never looked behind them!
