Confused

Hi all, I was came out of a junction earlier on today and proceeded to travel down the road unaware I had crossed over the central line. When I registered what I had done it was too late and there was an oncoming motorbike, thankfully none of us where hurt and my car didn't collide with the motorbike. However the rider of the bike did let go of his bike whilst riding which caused it to skid down the road on its side. He did not go down with the bike and remaind on his feet. This caused minor damage to his bike. He took my details but in my panic I forgot to take his. Can he claim on my insurance even thought we didn't collide? What should I do about no taking any of his details?
