Sometimes when my truly brilliant runner of a 1999 1.3 fiesta goes to start the whirr of the fuel pump is not there. In which case it turns over but will not start. Doesn't happen all the time, I think it is if it doesn'the start the very first time. I have located a relay under the bonnet, if I remove it the whirr of the fuel pump is missing, I replace it and the car starts.
When the car refuses to start if I wait 20 min without trying to start it, it starts first time. I was thinking that this relay was the fuel pump relay and that it is dodgy, but when I try to find one online it apparently does not exist?
So if I had a fuse box diagram of the under the bonnet box I might stand a chance of identifying it, or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Help would be wonderful.
