I was cycling (push bike) on a main road and preceded to overtake a line of slow moving or stationary traffic leading upto some traffic lights. As I was doing this someone pulled out of a side road on my left coming between the line of traffic to turn right (uk so driving on the left) they knocked me off and damaged me and my bike quite well.
My solicitors (through insurance) are urging me to take a 50/50 offer but I am inclined to go to court. In my opinion the car had no business pulling out if he couldn't see it was clear. I was preforming a legal and reasonable manoeuvre.
Just because someone flashes their lights to let you out, doesn't mean it's safe.
