Hello,
Yesterday I passed my Theory test and i've been worrying about the eyesight test part of the Practical test. It's stupid I know. I personally think I have good eyesight but reading a number plate at 20 meters (68 feet) seems like a long distance. A standard tape measure is 25 feet which is a long distance on it's own and it's almost 3 times that haha. I'm probably worrying over nothing but it's certainly not something I want to fail and have my provisional license revoked.
I heard 20 meters is roughly 5 standard car lengths? I personally feel that if I do fail it'll be because N, M, C and G look similar at a distance.
Anyways when booking my Practical do I need to tell my driving instructor so he can book a 2 hour session for that date (1 hour before and 1 hour for the test it self since I don't have my own car for it) or do I just provide my driving school's details and it's all worked out for me? After all for £62 you'd expect some work...
------------------------------------
I also have a question regarding mini roundabouts, are you actually allowed to drive over them? I've always read and heard that you should never drive over white painted markings but some of them can be rather tight and can't actually drive round them to make your turning like one in my area which if sometimes apart of my driving route.
There was this one time I took a lesson and I was going round one and he took the steering wheel of me and make me drive over it. It was a right mini roundabout but not impossible to do and then month or so later we took the route again and as I was driving over it like he made me last time took the steering wheel off me again, making me steer around the roundabout. It was definitely a lose-lose situation for me cos how am I suppose to learn if i'm being told and shown to do 2 different things?
If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
Kind Regards
