I have Peugeot 306 1.4 W reg (2000) petrol hatchback put it in for MOT and it failed on emissions .7 instead of .2 added cataclean did italian tune took it back failed again same .7 then did oil change/flush new filter new air filter plugs and cleaned lambda took it back now 10.5 reading.
So run diagnostics fault came up with lambda sensor, here is the thing only 1 sensor the cat was replaced last year before i brought it the person took it to kwik fit and they stuck a cat on that does away with the sensor after the cat so how can I tell if the cat is working fine I took it to kwik fit to check the cat they took 20 seconds to walk under the car and said it was a minute hole in rear box , which I could not see nor did the MOT centre but also added it was only 50/50 it would work but do that 1st no mention of the cat so if I buy a new sensor and it goes back to .7 how do I get them to or can they check the cat.
