Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 2003
What's the correct idle speed for a 1.4 Fiesta? For some time now mine has been running at about 1,400 revs and, very occasionally, at about 1,600 revs. Seems to be racing a little from the sound of it.
If it is running fast, what might be the cause, and the cure? I should mention that the yellow engine light is on all the time but the garage have told me that this is just a sensor in the exhaust and nothing to worry about and it was on for a number of years before the fast idle began so is probably not connected.
