stopped by police for no MOT

Hi

I was stopped by the police and told my MOT had ran out, also my insurance didn't include for work use. They said I might just get a fine.

I changed my insurance and got MOT sorted that day.

I've not had anything in the post, is there a amount of time they need to contact me by? Should I be contacting someone to say not received anything?
