So two days ago I had a pretty bad accident, well I was on a traffic light in the que and while turning left my car skidded and went straight in to the traffic light. Fortunately no one was hurt which was a miracle because the car and traffic light are pretty much in peices (car written off)
Police attended the scene and asked me a few questions and then she said it does not seem as if you've committed any offence and there's no witnesses to say otherwise so I'm not going to bother doing breatherlyser test etc...we waited around she said their seems to be oil on the floor u may have skidded on that etc, it happens to the best of us I wouldn't worry just let insurance sort it.
So once my car was towed away I left the accident scene and when I was claiming I realised I did not receive a traffic incident number or any case number for that matter,
So does that mean the accident is not being investigated and that's it? I don't need to worry about any further questioning etc and I can tell my insurance that there is no case code etc?
