Hope you can help. My fiance has a car hit his car from behind. He has photos, however the other driver has now claimed fiance was changing lanes without indicating and she has 2 independent witnesses. We were sent 2 statements that are untrue.
My solicitor is telling us to settle but solicitor has failed to do any checks or investigation on statements when I asked, eg checking for inconsistencies, ID check on witnesses to check whether they were bogus.
My fiance called the solicitor who said hisinsurer wants to settle but insurer has denied this, saying they want to investigate the witness statements.
We are confused, but think we want to change solicitors. However our insurer said I would have to pay if I want a new solicitor. What can I do? We don't trust our current solicitor, seems like she wants the case off her workload.
