This happened today to me. THANKS RAC and patrol man TERRY 4232 ! . .I was very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the patrol guy that turned up, on a very bad day for me, my car overheated, I managed to limp the car to a safe-ish place on the verge just off the hard shoulder on the M6 just after leaving the M69 @ 07:20 today with a check the coolant warning light 'on' and serious rattle from my engine. when I phoned the number on my insurance documents. I was told,it was RAC and the RAC staff told me some very important life saving things about motorway breakdowns and I was told it would be about 3/4 an hour before a patrol would get there. I had to wait about 1/2 an hour and then the breakdown arrived, which I was surprised at as the time of day it was and how busy the traffic was, slow and nose to tail. The patrol guy was very diligent in diagnosing the fault carrying out a temp repair ,while being mindful of what I was doing, telling me sternly but politely to stay away from the drivers door as he had the high viz on (he was looking after my health as well as diagnosing my car) , he was mindful of what the traffic was doing and accurately diagnosed my vehicle fault at the same time. when he sorted it to my much surprise, he also had the tools and coolant on board his truck. he insisted he follow me to a safe place to confirm the repair was ok and that it would be ok for me to get home again in, as I was on my way to work. the patrol man followed me to near the Ricoh arena near Cov about 5 miles, he rechecked my car . The whole time I had to deal with him he was professional, friendly, courtios, informative and mindful of my safety, and that I was ok, not just was my car ok, I felt I was his mane concern. He was totally the silver lining on a dark cloud of a day. I hope and wish all the best for patrol TERRY 4232 . . . I'm sure the patrol guys could sort your locking wheel nut issue, but they got proper work to do. like me stuck at the side of the busy and dangerous M6 at 07:20 . . I'm also sure toyota or Lexus could give you a replacement locking key via your reg documents... I'm well pleased with the service I got, considering it was an add on to my insurance. FREE. . . . . THANKS AGAIN RAC
