I have just recently passed my test and today went to look at a used car a 07 Fiat Punto Grande. My concern is I had problems building up momentum in the car and moving off seemed to be very revvy. Eventually the gearbox connection broke and the car wouldn't move. My question is assuming this gearbox is fixed are the problems with momentum and building up revs to do with my limited experience in driving petrol cars? I did test drive a brand new Fiat Punto which was a lot smoother drive however I did stall a few times trying to move off? Does it signify a serious fault with the car/gears or should I put it down to my driving experience?
