Neighbour has acquired new to him car with really dark rear side and rear windscreens. The problem is that he parks the vehicle up half on/half off the pavement immediately on left of my driveway exit. Whereas before (no tints) I could see to my left through his screens if anything was coming up on the left, now I can't and I've had three near misses inching out (and I do mean inching and have windows open to listen for vehicles. The lady who parks on the right hand side of my driveway exit isn't a problem - no tints! The Cooncil won't let me have a mirror so I'm a bit stuck with the situation.
In fairness, the family can't park the car anywhere else and because seven others also park on that stretch of pavement, they can't move the car up - even a foot would make a huge difference. I have spoken (nicely!) to ask if he could swap positions with someone in that row and he's tried but it seems that at present the only person willing to swap has no personal vehicle and is driving a Post Office tranny van!!!! It was there yesterday and caused untold problems with the ambulance bringing my Mum back home.
