I have replaced the DPF as the old one was blocked. Reset the fault code which turned the engine symbol out on the dash but everytime I switch the ignition on the warning "Engine Malfunction" appears. No codes appear when I plug in my Autel AL319 diagnostic reader and the MIL reads "off" on the reader.
When the RAC came out to it when the engine malfunction light first appeared the code was the bank one oxygen sensor temp was too low. When I spoke to Ford, they wanted over a grand to refit a DPF and when I plugged my own reader in when I got home the code was blocked DPF.
Current mileage is 84,000, car has been serviced from new.
Any ideas why the engine malfunction warning would appear when there are no DTCs present and MIL status on reader is off?
